Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

The Mercuy product was a great idea but in the end, it's not worth the money. Too many issues too often. How can you sell a product like this and your end user has to constantly review logs or email logs to fix issues. Beta products need to be sold at beta prices. I wouldn't buy anything from...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

knutselmaaster, I second all your statements. When I first received the mercury, it was very promising but the thing is just some unreliable. I removed all throttle functions and strictly use it to monitor AH usage during my rides. Save your money and by a CA.

Danny, I have a feature request: For those of us switching out our bike cycle meters for the Speedict, it would be nice if we could enter our current odometer reading. I currently have +4300 miles on my bike and I'd like to have the Speedict track my miles from where I left off. Can you include...

I'm not a super technical electrical engineer, I'm a consultant but I'm more of the "personable type" that helps other engineers talk to non-engineers....power, energy, I know there is a difference. Here's one thing we can definitely agree on, there may be some calculation issues within the...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Ken,I don't disagree with anything you're saying but I can't go against my last year of riding. Unless the temps were below 0 (which I didnt ride in), I consistently got the same results with my doc watson. I could tell you exactly how many AH I would likely used based on the wind speed and...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Ken, I think you have lost site of my original point....it does not matter how I verify how much power I actually used. The point is my batteries are NOT dead at 8AH of usage. They are dead at 10AH of usage which is accurate based on a year of previous experience with a watt meter on my bike...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

I was using 200 gain and 50 time as my initial speed deaccelerate speed but I decided to switch to current governor only which I find a lot more useful for my setup. I am using 8A limit b/c for some reason, the speedict automatically increases the limit by 1.5. Not sure if this is intentional or...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Throttle mediation appears to work well for my setup but I'd say mine is not typical. Like I said, I'm using a voltage type PAS sensor which is basically a on/off switch based on peddle or no peddle. I have a Speedict throttle cut off switch. It's just a single pole switch inline with the...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Update to my last post: My AH readings are off by a factor of 1.18. Danny, is there a way to calibrate the current so it records at a higher amount? Can this be done using the device calibrate feature? The reason I know my current readings are off by a factor of 1.18 is b/c my batteries shut...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Hello all, just wanted to report my first commute experience with the speedict. There are some distance reporting issues in live view that Danny is working out for me but my overall first experience with the speedict so far has been positive. 1. Speedict is located inside steel bike rack...

My new 2013 Build + Video and small burnouts p2

Hey 3nslav3, great build. I say ride fast until they catch if (if they can)! I just purchased a speeedict and looking to get some feed back from your experience. Your setup is exactly how I want mine. I have a few questions about your settings, if you don't mind: 1. Are you using throttle mode...

Hey Danny, any update on that battery gauge function? It would be great if you could enter your battery ampacity and set you low battery level. For example, if you have a 20AH battery, set the low battery level at 16AH or 80%. Being able to enter the battery ampacity would allow also allow you...

Danny, here is my trip record for my travel to the gym tonite. I reviewed the results after my trip to and from the gym and here's what I found using software version 1.1.3bf2: 1. The speed in live view is accurate. It matches my bike computer exactly. 2. The distance traveled in live view is...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Danny, I installed the software and it appears to have already made a difference. I looked at my trip log from earlier tonight and my distance on the speedict was an exact match of my bike computer. One thing that does not seem to be working right in the trip log chart view is the AH used. The...

Thanks. For some reason when I put the file on Microsoft Skydrive and downloaded to my phone, it would extract the files down to the root folders and not extract the install program. I downloaded directly from your link to my phone and it worked fine. I will test in the next day or two. It just...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Danny, I just purchased a speedict and I am starting with basic monitoring before I move on to throttle overrides. Right now I am having an issue with the speed/distance reporting. I left my old bike computer on the front wheel so I could compare data. I added the Speedict sensor to the rear...

    EZip Trailz LS - 2013

First off, you can tighten the bolt for the kickstand by removing the plastic circular piece located on top of the frame directly above the kickstand. The plastic will likely break but use some pliers to pull it out then use a hex tool to tighten. If you haven't done so already, use the blue...

    36v Mid Drive eZip

Matt, at some point you have to just try things out for yourself...Before I did a "real mid-drive setup", I did a test run by adding a 42 tooth crank to the left side of my bottom bracket. THen i bought a standard length 1/8" chain and that was it. I had to chain on each side of my bike and my...

Ezip Trails: 20T/16T OEM vs. Mid-drive Setup & More

Sorry, I never switched back to mid drive set up. Cost is not worth it at this point. Bike gets me from A to B in good time. I do 18MPH average with constant peddling. I am currently looking into upgrading the controller to 36V or 48V setup. Not sure yet.

Ezip Trails: 20T/16T OEM vs. Mid-drive Setup & More

Hello all. I'd like to post some general info about my 2012 Ezip Trailz upgrades, results, and upcoming upgrades. I'll try to keep it short and sweet. About me: I'm 30yrs old, 6'-2", 215lbs and athletic. I'm NOT a cyclist. I simply use my bike to commute 18miles one-way to work. I purchased the...
