Are the 6 pin Tong Sheng VLCD5 and VLCD6 displays interchangeable?

I'm considering purchasing a TSDZ2B with a 6 pin VLCD5 display. Does anyone know if I could use my VLCD6 display instead of the VLCD5 6 pin that comes with this unit?

Chainring of my TSDZ2 wobbles. Is that normal?

I noticed that the chainring of my TDDZ2 wobbles. Same as shown in the link below. That is not my bike in the video. The motor has just over a year of use. I have another bike that has a new motor and it also appears to have some wobble. The bottom bracket nuts and everything else are tight...

I have been riding quite a bit since changing the gear and bearings. So far so good.

    TSDZ2 Blue gear failure.

I'm thinking maybe the bearing failing is what causes the discoloration in the grease. Thanks but I do not see any links you may have provided. Can you add the link to the thread? I have gone on some longer rides since I changed the blue gear and the motor has worked without any issues.

    TSDZ2 Blue gear failure.

Yes it sounds like I had the same problem. So there should be no grease between the pinion and the blue gear. If there is the blue gear can slip? I think I may have some grease in there even with the new blue gear and bearing. So far it is working fine, if I have any issues I will take the...

    TSDZ2 Blue gear failure.

I have had my TSDZ2 for about a year. Maybe 1000 miles. In that time I have been careful to use my gears properly and not overlod the motor. Although there were a few times while shifting that the motor appeared to be overloaded and it would make a grinding noise. Recently the motor would not...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks! I looked at some videos and that whining noise appears to be normal. I expect when the TSDZ2 is installed on the bike and it has a load it will be quiet.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The noise is electrical, coming from the motor, and not mechanical. I'm starting to wonder if that is just the way it sounds running with a throttle with no load on the motor.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Just got a new TSDZ2 with VLCD5. Hooked up the unit and am using the throttle to test it. It seems to work fine except it makes a loud whining noise when running. . Is the motor whining only with using the throttle or will it also whine when pedaling and the torque sensor is engaged? I...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I found a 36V 350W TSDZ2 at a very good price but it was only available with the VLCD5. I thought that switching displays would be cheap and easy. That does not appear to be the case. This is for my girlfriend so she may be OK with the larger display. Thanks for your help!

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks. Just to be clear I don't want to use the throttle or brake. I am getting an 8 pin VLCD5 with throttle. Looks like the connector from the motor will be an 8 pin connector and the VLCD6 only comes with a 6 pin connector so I will need the converter cable. Looks like I would need one of...

Hello everyone. Glad I found this terrific forum. I installed a TSDZ2 on my Scott hyriid bike one year ago and I'm loving it. I will be installing a TSDZ2 on my girlfriends bike very soon. The TSDZ2 that I ordered comes with a VLCD5 display. I probably won't be using the throttle or brake...
