Hello All,

I recently revived a 2010 Zero DS motorcycle that quit working in 2011 and the batteries were no good. The bike had 499 miles on it. I replaced the complete electronics with my own battery from Amorge and New Alltrax controller. I have just less than 1000 miles on it now and started a squeaking noise in the motor. I dont know what it is or if that means its failing. The bike still runs great but has developed a squeal similar to a worn disc brake pad.

Is it from the motor itself, or the drivetrain from it to the wheel?

Bearings can make that sort of noise,

Sometimes unlubricated chains might.

If there's a chain guide it might squeak if the chain rubs on it.

I think that's a brushed motor; I've seen old motors with worn brushes make some noises, but not quite like that, and that's not exactly an old motor, shouldn't be worn like that.
