Bottom bracket adaptor help needed.

My bike has an American one piece crank. The bottom bracket measures 2 inches in diameter. If I were to use an adapter to reduce it to the English standard that the Bafang requires then the extra thickness won't allow the motor to mount because the clearance between the Bafang axle and the motor housing is too small. I know people have talked about eccentric BB adaptors but I haven't been able to find one that fits my BB. Someone must have mounted a BBS02 to an old style one piece crank bike before me, what is the solution please?
