Quick question:

I have some Samsung 50G cells (4900 mAh) that I want to build a battery pack of and find a suitable charger.

For optimal cycle life it's stated that they should not be discharged above 1C ~4900 mAh/hour ~4.9A(?)
I'm building a 14S5P pack.

What about charging?
In order to charge at 0.33C I can charge at: 24500 mAh / 1000 = 24.5A => 24.5A * 0.33C = 8A?
Meaning that you also divide the current for each cell in a parallel group when charging:
From my understanding that means for discharging I should aim for no higher than 4.9Ah*5P = 24.5A continious.
For charging that would be 4.9Ah*0.33C*5P = 8A

Is this correct?

Yes, but 0.4C is fine even in sweater weather.

Go lots slower in lower temps, and as you get anywhere near freezing, heat the cells first.

In T-shirt weather faster is OK, even 1C when very hot.
