I got send the wrong charger, it was US AC input and not AUS. The company kindly sent me the correct charger however I have cut the old plug and looking at re-wiring it into this aliexpress charger so I have a spare charger.

Chargers do not care what kind of plug they have on the end. As long as you maintain the correct polarity and your plug will support the full amp rating of the charger, you can use whatever you want.

US charger is 110v ac. Correct charger is 220v AC input. Chances are the US charger will not like 220. Sometimes there is a 110 or 220 switch. If so, flip it to 220, and replace the plug, making sure the polarity is right.
