Hi could someone please tell me what the plug on a cycle annylist dp is for The one on the short cable with the plastic cover cheers Alan

Most likely that is the DC out plug. For running lights and such. If I have it right, that plug will show your pack voltage on a voltmeter.

dogman is spot on, tested mine today with a multimeter and it does indeed show pack voltage.
Gonna modify a bike light with a DC-DC convertor to run off the pack.
Shame the ebikes.ca Lumenator is so expensive

Not really, a handcrafted low volume product can't be china cheap. But maybe 48v led lights will become common in the future, at cheap prices.
