Hello,
I have a electric moped, with an 8Kw 13" hubmotor in it.
This is connected with a 72V kelly 300Amp controller.
Now, i need to get me some decent battery's, but space is limited.
After a bad expirience with A123 pouch cells from victpower, i need some reliable info.
Since space is a limitation, i was thinking to put 24pcs of 60Ah Sinopoly cells in it. They are the smallest 60Ah's i can find.
Some people however, whisper in my ears that the 60Ah is not capable of delivering such power.
My guesstimate is 40-50Ah continuous when at-speed, and 300A pulse, max. during acceleration to that speed.

When i take a look at the spec sheets, Winston delivers about 4 times more current max, but i've been told that's very optimistic, and they're comparable with the Sinopoly cells.

Does anyone have expirience with this?

Thanks.

Any brand of those cells are perhaps 2C max continuous without hefty voltage sag, based on experiences I've read here on ES and DIY Electric Car forum. 1C would be better/easier on them.

The 60Ah I have are the old yellow Thundersky, often called Thundersag for a reason. ;)
