Phew..

The Chopper saga is a long one..
http://ypedal.com/Redhornet.htm

Way back then, it was going to be a lead sled..

But, that never materialized, it ended up on 12ah prismatic lifepo4, those only lasted a season of almost no usage..
http://ypedal.com/X5Chopper/index.htm

then tore it down and built a 10ah PSI cell pack:

The whole BMS thing turned into a huge Fail, so stripped it off and have been running it straight up.

Currently 24 cell 10ah PSI lifepo4, this pack has been accidentally drained down to 0v by the DC/DC converter , and a 2nd time by the Soneil chargers ( plugged to pack but not to AC ) .. and recovered it both times.. has 1 less than ideal cell but the pack still delivered 8ah last year.

Sports an ES badge of honor !

cycled the pack a few times, been keeping the living room warm with my 10x 200w lightbulb array ..

delivering 6.5ah+ comfortably, lowest cell holding 2.8v, i'm sure it will deliver 8ah with a bit of use.

Also took off the 1.95 hookworm and installed a 3" Vee-Ruber , so now has 3" tires front and back.. looks and rides better !

I DP-420 'ed a pair of doctor bass torque arms on the frame, only running a 12fet Lyen at the moment, 40~50 amps, once the PSI cells die i'm dropping in Nano-Tech lipo and going to 100+ amps so i needed the beefed up frame. :p

In the messy garage, got the motor installed, shims made, there is " just " enough axle thread to get the nuts on.. just....

I put the Ypedal.com huge rotor from our croatia friend Hal, laser cut, beauties !!!...

Will install a caliper eventually, regen brake for the rear will have to do for now.

Awesome e-bike pr0n as always!

That last pic is a potential energy smorgasbord. 24 cell battery pack in foreground, four 2-5 gallon gas cans, a bottle of LPG attached to the gas grill...

If that was my garage I'd already be on the news, smoldering house in the background.

hmpf.. that's just what you can see... there is also a 55 gal drum of diesel furnace oil, 1.3kwh of Nano-tech on the trike, various LIMn 20ah packs, nicad packs, dead SLA, various paint thinners, 2 stroke pre-mix..... if that garage goes up.... i expect japan will have it on the news !

i have that frame. outside in the rain. the kid collapsed the front forks in jumping with it. i have the Vknucklehead battery case for that bike if you wanna paste the two pieces on the ends of the packs. for stealth.
