Hey, I know I'm late to comment on an nold thread. But I need help and this thread has the most information I could find for modifying a xb-502. It would be even more helpful if I knew the terminology and had more knowledge in e-bikes.
Anyway, a few years a go I acquired two XB-502 xtreme e-bikes that needed some batteries and other parts. I finally got one up and running. However it is only going 18kph topped out. And the SLA batteries although brand new wont last more then a few miles with the light on. I know nothing about motors, controllers or electronics in general. I dont want to make it much faster then it should be. But it needs to be better then it is currently. I want different batteries that will be lighter, last longer and be easier to replace. As for what I need to get and how to do any of it im at a loss. I would be pleasantly surprised if anyone responds
