I'm new to Ebikes, in fact I've never even ridden one. But I've had the idea of building an electric BMX for some time now.. I finally put my money where my mouth is and ordered all the parts.
-52V Jumbo shark em3ev battery
-RisunMotor/Mosfet 48-72V 80A bluetooth controller
-Mxus 3k rear motor
I have put everything roughly together to get the electronics working but I'm not having much luck. First there was an error on the MQCON app that read "Unknown error", then "Hall error". I plugged in a stray three pin connector to itself and that went away but the green LED keeps flashing 13 times and sometimes 25 times. Also when it's connected all of the data on the controllers app drops to zero. disconnect it and the values appear again, with the error code. These three pin connectors might not even be meant for each other, one is yellow green and brown and the other is yellow green and black. The throttle is connected but does nothing. I have tried a hall sensor test but also nothing.
I was wheeling the bike around a bit before connecting the controller and I'm worried I might have shorted out a sensor from its wire touching one of the phase wires? There would have been current coming from the motor if it was turning.. Although when I disconnect everything except the power cables the error LED still flashes the same amount of times.
Or could it just be that the battery voltage is below what is necessary for the controller?
Can you think of anything else?
