Heynow! I am a newb about to assemble an electric drift trike. I have been dreaming about one for 6 months and when I found (2) AOTEMA 2-wire front hub motors with throttles and controllers for cheap I took it as a sign from the universe that it was time.

I think I have brushed sensor-less motors since the motors have 2 wires. If I am planning a pedal-less trike can these motors start on their own from a stand still?

If someone could help me it would be huge.

Will this motor start at all from a stand still? Will it be a little or extremely jerky? Any help or suggestions would be awesome, thanks

Sensorless hub motors don't start good (if at all) from a standstill. They need a forward movement to start, more or less depending of the controller program.
