I've been researching options for lipo boxes on my new e-bike build. I think plastic field boxes secured to the tubing sides of the bike frame might work. Here's one of them:

Anyone out there try one of these? And how do they hold up if you have?

I've seen quite a few tool boxes mounted on the front or back of the bicycle, attached to a rear bike rack or a front basket thing. Similar concept as that small field box thing. How are you going to mount it on to the frame?

I've looked at toolboxes, but they're too big and bulky. Field boxes are smaller and I can route wires to different packs on my frame, using multiple field boxes. Going to use aluminum bar stock and drill holes in them and screw them onto some abs plastic sheets, 1/4" thick.

Looks like a rugged box about the right size, to me. They would work on a Y frame, one on each side.

Rassy (A member one this site) made me a sweet little trailer for my hand cycle. It has ammo boxes on the sides for the battery's, its works very well so far. One 10 amp 48 volt ping battery in each one. :D
