Hi members :)

Am I the only one that is slightly in the dark with this stater material in the video?

The coils have no ferrous metal (steel/iron, etc) in the centers, so I think these are called "air core" coils. the cast stator is only to hold the coils in place, and I beleive it is some type of epoxy. since epoxy is expensive, i remember guys filling half the weight with dust (marble? talcum, mica, etc).

If you like this, there is chat over at fieldlines.com, and info at otherpower.com

The stater is magnetic!

He just has some steel rings embedded in the stator...nothing fancy.
At the low rpms he runs there is minimal eddy current loss. I couldn't guess how much it improves the electricity generation in this set up.
Its a nice use of his property..verry interesting.

Almost looks to me if there is copper chips in it :/
