Tell ‘em apart easily? The big communications plug on a Fardriver comes off the long side and on the Gecko the plug comes off the end (short side) — most models.

I've seen a lot of different controller "brands" that look generally like these on the outside, with assorted variations. What they're like on the inside and who actually made any of them, or their properties and qualites...are a mystery.
