I broke the freewheel on my my1016z2 by keeping the chain too tight. I would like to remove the current, broken freewheel and replace it.

With the help of some adjustable pliers, a socket wrench and some time I was able to remove the nut on the bolt in the middle, but the freewheel is still well attached. I know there are specialized tools to remove freewheels but I'm not aware of any that fit this chinese motor.

My question is, does anyone know how to remove this freewheel and can point me in the right direction on how I could do it?

Here is where I purchased the motor if that helps. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H5FFJ52/ref=twister_B0736SBR95?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Thank you in advance!

you have to pull the adapter and freewheel off the motor first. a gear puller will do that, if it will not simply pull straight off.

then you can use one of the several methods here

to remove the freewheel from the adapter.

just *don't* do what azad actually did, do what we *told* him to do. ;)
