Keeping Warm and Dry..

Goodwill is even better this year than previously; today I found this light MC armored/padded jacket:

it won't keep me warm and dry exactly, but it'll keep my skin on better, so.... ;)

Here's what I do for my feet, by the way.

They're made from a cheap plastic tarp. Perhaps you can already see that the rounded part goes over your toe. The loop of string goes under your toe. In most cases we're wearing shoes or boots with small lugs on the sole; that string catches onto these just fine.

Then you just fold the rest up over the top of your foot, wrap the remainder around your upper ankle/lower calf and tie with another string or velcro, etc.

Nice dry feet even in a complete downpour. Two of them fold up into a package about the size of a wallet with hardly any weight.

I usually manage a couple of rides in January when the temp is at 0 deg F or below. They make excellent outer shells for more warmth under these circumstances as well.

Looked up re human body skin temperature and "cool/warm feelings". Thinkin' body temps afflict all Ebiker clan (eg gloves, etc.) in motion across our ambient enviros.
