List of trusted and reliable battery suppliers

Hi all - first post and I'm just bumping this question back up the list....

Given the importance of getting good quality batteries for safety and performance I would love to have a list of trusted suppliers - especially into Europe, but international. I can't find an up to date list, can anyone help?

To kick things off:
* Luna - US based & ships internationally. Faultless reputation and easily my preferred choice because those dudes just know what they're talking about. Unfortunately for us Europeans Luna are US based & incur long shipping times and additional taxes & import duties :(
* Electron cycles in the UK - They supply panasonic based batteries at a very good price- has any one used them?
* gutrad.eu - German based company which supplies Sanyo and LG batteries at reasonable prices
* fasterbikes.eu - bespoke shirnkwrapped packs with BMS using Samsung cells

Has anyone used any of these suppliers and comment - or can you suggest recomendations from other suppliers that you have used?

Please let me know if there's a sticky on this that I've missed - would be great to get some feedback.

Not really. You can poke around the forums to find info on various issues.

Sorry I don't know the other suppliers you mentioned.

There aren't any perfect vendors, but there's decent ones.

I have an EM3EV battery that's several years old, that I got used from someone else that had no problems with it, and it still works, though naturally it doesn't have it's full capacity after such a long life. (but it's not my main battery; that's a DIY)

But the real test of a vendor is what they do when you have a problem, especially an unusual problem, and other than personal experience yourself the best way to find that out is to find other people that had problems and find out what happened; if it was resolved well / quickly, etc. Very few of the people that have had such problems will end up reading or posting in this thread (or otehrs like it), so you may have to hunt out the various battery problem threads and see if they have the info you need. It's a lot of work, and may not give enough info to be worth it. But...that's where the answers really are. :/

Amber wolf, thanks. After a bit of digging around I have plumped for Em3ev.com partly because of good comments I've read about them and because of the quality of the battery build. Their approach focuses on engineering quality which really appeals to me. Swapping a few emails with them was vrty positive. As you say time will tell !
Re. Luna, I've seen a few negatives. Hope they sort that out. I really like their enthusiasm.
