Motor for E-longboard on Hobbyking

That depends if you are integrating the motor into the wheel, say if you are boring out the middle of your wheel and using the bell-housing of an outrunner motor to spin the wheel, or are you attaching a drive sprocket to the motor shaft and driving your wheel with a chain or a belt.

I think chain is easiest to do and it's easier to do a 2wd with a couple of 1000 watt motors than say one big 2000 watt motor or a 4wd with four 500 watt motors.

The way you want to build it will significantly change what motor or motors you want.

I have always been fond of the three wheel design personally, if you do three-wheel you could always consider doing a hub motor too.

Did you check ''esk8.de'' or ''alien power''? a bit more expensive than HK but they have motors in the right size
