New puppy in the house !

Way to go Roxy !!!! :p

...

I live alone ( well, until now that is ) so when i have to go out, Smurf has to be by himself and until i'm reasonably satisfied he won't chew anything valuable or get himself in trouble, he has to be in a cage when i'm out.... he's fine.. but i feel so horrible putting him in there ( mental issues on my end lol ) .. i put up the Gopro to record him while i was out to the bank.. curious to know how he did.

OMG what a loverpup. Sorry to hear about the loss of your good friend. It's great to hear you have so much to look forward to now though

P.S. Lucy says hi

Invasion of privacy.. they move so much it's nearly impossible to get a good picture of anything fun, so using a Gopro at 30 frames per second and snapping a frame is the way to go.. for instance

Good for you Gaston! What a great dog and lifelong friend.

We crate our current dog and he absolutely loves it. Hangs out in it while we’re home and hops right in when we have to leave. Of course he gets a special treat (frozen bone, Chicky tire, Kong, etc) when he’s left alone but he really likes his crate.

We discovered our latest little guy tends to climb on things to better see out the window. We’re afraid he might fall or hurt himself so the crate it is. Crating is as much for their safety as preventing damage(s) to the home.

PTZ IP cameras are great for keeping tabs on pets left home alone. I’ve gotta bunch of Foscam 1981W scattered around and one dedicated to doggy cam duty. Highly recommended.

Wolves, foxes, and coyotes are "den" creatures. By making a small opening, only an animal the same size or smaller can get in quickly. Two intruders must wait in line, and the den often has two exits.

A long time ago, I had to go away for a couple weeks on a job, and that's when we picked out a dog (wife and I had always liked them). While I was gone, the wife let the puppy sleep on the bed, could never break her of it when I got back. We would force her to lay down on the floor (on a big doggie pillow), and...thirty minutes later...in the dark...she would very slowly ninja - step onto the foot of the bed.

Start them out in their own little "cave-den", and they will be happy in that.

So for fear of hijackacking your post Gaston I thought id share some more good Samoyed related news from Manchester UK. Actually Samousky news. Meet Isla, at 8 wks old in the footwell of my honda Insight driving back from Scotland from her breeder Dawn.

3 parts Husky 1 part Samoyed. Best decision we made in 5 years. Thanks for the inspiration.

He is a smart dog, I feel we need to catch up in the handshakes department. Need to buy some puppy treats.

So Isla (Samousky) met Bolo (proper Samoyed) the other day when the wife was walking her down one of her favourite walks.

I wanted to post this cause Isla has been running with me recently around our the field behind our house whilst I raced her on the Scott Ransom DH magic pie build. She freaking loves it and soon I will get a video of said running as she stays close to the bike which bodes well for taking her on more runs on bridle paths and the like.

Sorry for hijacking your thread Ypedal, but you gotta admit they are a good looking pair of pooches.

Ok so this is not Smurf but our getting her was largely inpired by Both of Gastons Samoyed's and she is 1/4 Samoyed, the rest is Husky. Anyway i was trying to take a quick snap of a rat bike to list it on ebay. This is what i got.
