Yes, just order the 750W rated kit. In the TDSZ2 thread some have had to replace the blue plastic gear for the metal one. Most important is to keep the rpm of the motor up by shifting down when necessary. That way the torque stays within reasonable levels and everything lives longer. In the dedicated TDSZ2 thread there is info and updated firmware to let the system work better and more natural with the built in torque sensor. It seems worthwhile to perform that upgrade. You should read up on the possibilities in that thread: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=79788&start=4350
And the open source firmware site: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki

Edit to add: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=93818

I placed the order from PSW!

I did also put a special request "replace vlcd5 to vlcd3 if possible"...

That is because of the info I found in the threads you recommended @SlowCo.
They say there, that only LCD3 can be programmable with this custom firmware!

Now my order is:
Battery ($247):
http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2017-5f-31t0
Kit ($340):
http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2018-4t-hkfj

587 dollars total :) !
I believe it s a bargain

Great :thumb:
I hope you will update this thread with your build progress when you receive your order. I love following threads like this!

I sure will!
BTW do you know if LCD3 is fully compatible with the rest of the kit?
I asked PWS but they have not answered yet...

I have no first hand knowledge with the kit or display. The dedicated threads for this kit and firmware are filled with info and people able to help you out.

the only thing I did not do myself was removing the crankset!

Though I have not yet managed to install the brakes and the thumb throttle! the connectors provided are not applicable

I have yet to install mine, but I did look at the how the throttle and brakes plug into the back of the VLDC5. The connectors feel a little stiff, but I am sure they will go in.

Docw, You are absolutely right I did find these connectors to the back of the VLCD.
Now I have also connected the brake sensors and the thumb throttle!
