Oh my god, its President Trump!

The Washington Post, who first reported the conversation, claims Trump spent 10 minutes of the meeting "rehashing the campaign," claiming that 3 to 5 million illegal votes on election night cost him the popular vote.

What is wrong with him! ... ??

Trump is the only person stupid enough to claim voter fraud in an election that he won. The fact that he cannot let it go is troubling, seeing as how he is now the most powerful person in the world.

TPP is gone, something The Bern wanted.

This mornings "BREAKING NEWS", "no one will lose their insurance coverage."

Hope?

Sorry I just set myself up for the two warring sides to blather on. I worked long and hard for Sanders, and am about as far left as one can be, my best pal is about as far right as anyone can be without being religulous. Our mutual friends can't imagine how we get along We answer, "between the two of us we know everything."

It's really a shame, IMO, forums have these sorts of threads. Posters opposite my expressed views are likely to ignore any ask for help. For stupid reasons. Like who you voted for, or who you wrote about in a thread.

Yet here I am, but disappointed someone won't allow me in others discussions. But so it goes....

Yes, it would be a shame if disagreements expressed in the toxic section were to spill over into the information sharing ideals of the actual ES world.

Sorry, bringing up Hitler referencing a n individual scapegoat has been done to death. Another wormhole. The people, the country, allow these types of things to materialize and execute in the free world. The reality of a despotic dictator and mass death would be more like Mao or Stalin, and US would at least be united with a common cause. Barring that, if the outcome is similar, it's all the peoples' fault in a slow subversive slip in themselves and culture over time.

The only risk for something along those lines is if we get more controlling politicians in power that stifle the entire country. Trump's stance of "Do what thou wilt" tells me he's not the one, maybe the next one.

Anyway, it's pretty cool seeing someone in charge running the government like a business (With wise business agendas like, you know, reduce expenses, streamline processes, etc.; essentially making it more efficient and cost-wise and function-wise effective at doing what it's supposed to do.), instead of the parasite it's been long acting as.

Heh, Hoover and GW Bush were both businessmen prior to becoming President. My bet is Trump will fall somewhere between those two...

Oh boy...

“Authorities are also pushing back against the perception that the CIA workforce was cheering for the president. They say the first three rows in front of the president were largely made up of supporters of Mr. Trump’s campaign,” CBS continued.

The crowd was filled out with about 40 Trump invites and also, the front rows were senior CIA who were not cheering (on the video you can see their heads pivot to the cheers and laughter while not joining in) ... "

.

The CIA has a strong tradition of not cheering political figures in the interest of strict public non-partisanship. And apparently their reaction to the CIA being used a prop for his speech, esp. a speech given in front of the wall of their honored dead by a draft dodger was shall we say, not positive. It sure didn't help that he called it a standing ovation... considering that he seemed to not realize they weren't going to sit down, out of respect for the office of commander-in-chief, until given an order to do so... not because they were enraptured by his words.

Right now would be a good time to send McCain off to save TPP by getting a better bill. McCain himself couldn't argue with that if he succeeded, and he would. Score one for party unity. China has their own deal cooking with 16 countries in tow, shouldn't be hard to get the others to agree to new things in ours.

Trump haters are reasonably ineffectual.

...........Trump is his own worst enemy!

#1 Lying (alternative facts) for the American people. False, ridiculous!, blatant lies about inauguration support numbers.

#2 Claiming that 3 to 5 million illegal votes on election night cost him the popular vote. (Desperate self-delusion?)

#3 Offending the CIA - trying to hoodwink the American people by faking enthusiastic CIA support.

#4 Backstabbing environmentalists, native Americans, climatologists, global anti-carbon coalition by signing controversial-"unnecessary" oil pipeline construction.

These daily affronts are liable to continue ...
Especially the blatant attempts at self-aggrandizement.
Being a narcissistic-megalomaniac, Trump desperately requires praise and glorification.
From his personal sycophants is not sufficient!
Lacking genuine adoration from the populace ... he must create it.

.

The CIA is full of lies........

...
Unbelievable!!!
Trump to censor or suppress EPA data, studies etc.

Presumably to squelch that "climate change Bullshit".

"WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is mandating that any studies or data from scientists at the Environmental Protection Agency undergo review by (his) political appointees before they can be released to the public."

Promises!
New oil pipelines

Deregulated fracking with no regard(?) for ground water (drinking water) contamination or resulting earthquakes

And worst? Censoring - defunding - crippling the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)
They were commissioned to make-keep the environment safe for human life!

Let's see, he believes the fed's job isn't to restict business through regulation and that regulations should be left to the states. What happens? California still has the tightest smog/emissions regulations ever thanks to state regulations. Nothing has changed, nice try!

Does the air above Alabama stay over Alabama?

Yes, Americans have seemingly forgotten that smog like covered our cities, and pollution was bad enough that dioxin filled our river bottoms and the river itself would catch on fire. Mentioning Love Canal would probably just some blank looks, unless one personally knew some of the many American families poisoned there. Maybe we need a nation pollution museum to keep those memories alive before we recreate the same mess again.

They are detecting radiation from the Fukushima nuclear meltdown on the west coast now. We get air pollution from china that's measureable on some days.
