HI

I have assembled the kit from PSWpower on a Q100C.

17A controller - http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2016-3f-39n8
I have this PAS http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2016-ar-3h3c 12 poles.

The throttle powers the system and everything works. However when I pedal nothing, apparently happens. I may be wrong as I have not ridden it.

the pas has 3 wires: http://www.pswpower.com/ures/dtpic/2016/AR/3H3C.3R3KN/443BSR_QC0S5.jpg

PAS set to 5.

Brown - +5V
Black - Ground
Yellow - Signal

I can tell when the motor is working as I an hear it. If I hand crank the pedal on the bike stand nothing happens with the motor. Speed sensor works as it shows the increase in speed without using the throttle and with using the throttle.

The PAS appears to be working as the red light is flashing when I turn the crank.

Troubleshooting.

a) one of the wires is loose. I checked the PAS wires and they are solid. I did have to mount a male, rather than female connector but I soldered everything and it appeared ok (heatshrunk etc)
b) The controller isn't sending the PAS as I haven't configured it.
c) Its the wrong way around. I pedalled backwards and still nothing happened.

So I am stumped here.

Edit:

I cut the cable.

If i touch the black (ground) wire to the Yellow (signal wire) The motor spins briefly. So the controller is working.
if I swap the Brown and Yellow wires there is no difference.
if I swap the Black and Yellow wires the display shows 0 battery (probably as ground and positive is reversed.)

is there a setting for the number of magnets on the pas for the LCD? Or some other configuration?

Edit 2:

its the PAS sensor. I used another pas sensor and it worked fine. However it doesn't fit my bike :-(

This one works.

http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2016-2v-dw8e There must be some configuration somewhere.

Did not manage to fix this. However did manage to fit the original PAS sensor.

Turn the sensor around 180 degrees. With the supplied bracket, it's possible to line up one of the screws. And like all the PAS systems I've installed, the sensor has to be very close to the disc.

Yes I did that, tried everything but apparently you need to set the custom parameter C1 to 5 in the LCD (KT-LCD 8H). It's ok I wanted to use the smaller PAS in the first place.

Oh? Do you have a link? A picture somewhere?

Mine is a V12L since it mounts on the left side:
file.php

Do you find any noticeable difference between a 6 magnet and a 12 magnet? Ive got a 6 magnet on there now and have another bike with a 10 magnet.

That link gave me an error: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql.sql20.eznowdata.com' (4) in /var/www/virtual/szktdz/home/wwwroot/config.php on line 15

site may be down. it's the main Kunteng site, so you could google Kunteng V12 and it will show up as the first link. I had a 5 magnet PAS before the 12, and yes, it activates the controller with a noticeably shorter pedal rotation.
