I have a QS165 hall sensor motor. Tried pairing it with my 120v 200a Kelly KHB. Got it working easily. If I have the motor parameter turned up past say 55% It cuts out and gives me a code 32 for reset. IF I leave the parameter below this it operates as it should, just under powered. I kept testing adding more bats in series and parallel. (went up to 117v). It eventually bricked the controller after repetitive reset codes.

Kelly told me I need at least a 400a controller for this motor and it was overdrawing the controller. So I ordered a KHB 400a 120v controller.

It does the exact same thing. Any pointers/tips? Are kelly controllers just weak or not compatible. I'd think a 120v 400a controller would be plenty! lol. This is for a small drag minibike. Having nothing but trouble. Don't really want to destroy this controller too.

Using high output RC lipo bats. 7s 5ah. Running 3s4p at this time for 20AH and 88v just for testing. I have enough bats to run 4S4P (117v 20AH).

Bats are rated at 25c cont and 50c burst. SO I'd think I'd have more than enough amps.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!
