How is the progress with this motor?
It still seems unavailable on the web site.

Thank you for your interest, the 180 90H motor is ready, we are testing it with VOTOL and APT controller.
It seems VOTOL EM300 is not good, we are building e-tricyle to mount 180 mid drive motor with APT 72600 controller.
It's in test process...

I do geht fast replies, however, waiting for shipment since 7weeks now. All is paid long ago. I am not sure what's going on there. I did order a custom made motor, but it was promised to be shipped a month ago, then again for last week, now postponed to this week... Mid of week now, still silence...You may want to wait with payments until some people here, including me, report that they have received paid items... Just my2cents

The produce time take longer than expect, we will ship it asap.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

How in the world does that mount to a standard rear car axle? I don’t see how that centered wire could be put into place on most rear axles

It would go on the rear of a front wheel drive car. like...

Hi any news about the new mid motor 180? Your website has shown the motor for more then a year but still not possible to buy.

1: Do you know if that new 180 series will be ready this year in 2020?

2: Iirc you last year said something about making the 180 motor with different power output. From QSMOTOR 180 90H up to QSMOTOR 180 135H, is that correct? Would like to know continuous and peak for both of those.

3: If your motor is still in beta testing, possible to buy a beta version? I don't care about warranty, and I can put that in writing for you if like.

Hi Macribs,

Good question, here is my comment below.
any news about the new mid motor 180? Your website has shown the motor for more then a year but still not possible to buy.
Vito: 180 mid motor is still under developing, the motor sample is mount in EV, for further testing.

1: Do you know if that new 180 series will be ready this year in 2020?
Vito: I think yes.

2: Iirc you last year said something about making the 180 motor with different power output. From QSMOTOR 180 90H up to QSMOTOR 180 135H, is that correct? Would like to know continuous and peak for both of those.
Vito: So far, we plan to make 180 90H motor firstly.
Continous power of 180 90H motor could be 11000W.

3: If your motor is still in beta testing, possible to buy a beta version? I don't care about warranty, and I can put that in writing for you if like.
Vito: The motor sample is ok, but matching with controller will be the problem.

Very nice. That 180 must be an amazing motor. I've think I got a candidate for a possible controller fo rthe 180. But its summer, and the email response time are a bit slow. I think in a week or two I will know if that controller will work. If the engineers need any more motor data to see if they be a match could you help me out? I'm guessing you've done a lot of testing already and have collected data on the motor?

To bad the wires comes out in the back, right at the feet on a motorcycle.
To the side would be so much better, it can be at the edge next to the backplate.

I agree, maybe not a cable routing that will ensure longevity and reliability? Would be a very sad day if bikes hit the ground while boondocking and you cut one or more cables and motor don't work and it will make for a long walk of shame while pushing the bike home.

Hard to judge by the picture, but it looks like the wires are hooked up to some sort of connectors to the plate of the motor. Maybe those connectors could be angled 90 degrees? That way the cables could be tucked away inside the frame/or inside motor shield plate or something, away from the feet, and whatever might rub or catch against the wires when the bikes end up flat to the ground after a crash or whatever.

But I got to say, I really wonder what kind of short bursts of power the 180 motor can pump out paired up with the right controller. 3 times the continuous power? Maybe 4 times for short bursts of throttle? Would it be possible to get close to or surpass the 50 kw mark?

Hello, my 205 50H V3 looks like it moves around on the sprocket side. When I speed up the motor with no load, it vibrates like its out of balance. Ive removed the covers to check that the bearings are seated and to see if I could fix it by reinstalling the covers bit its never fixed. Its possible that I mixed up the covers with my 2 other 205's but they dont have the problem. The motor has zero miles on it so Im assuming that the axle isnt bent or something like that. Ive looked at all the drawings but I cant determine exactly where the bearings are supposed to be so I can check that they are seated correctly.

Does anyone have any info that would help? Has anyone ever had a bent cover or defective cover? I noticed there is a lot of space between the bearings and the seals because im always straightening out a crooked seal. So tired of this problem, trial, error, and hammering with rubber mallet.

I appreciate everyone, thanks!

Here is a vid of it wobbling

Sounds just like my cup of tea, that thing, that amount of power sounds about right for anything. :D

Hard to tell from the video and the camera angle if the wobbles are due to the motor itself of if it is in fact maybe the truing of the wheel that is causing the wobble. Could you try different camera angle, maybe vary a bit. Some close ups and some from a distance maybe?

Are you looking at the wobble of the rear sprocket? That's where it can be seen best like in the vid. I took it apart again to check out the bearings, again. QS motor said to check run out. What surface should I put my run out gauge on to check run out?

@QS-MOTOR: is there any Default settings for the QSMOTOR 138 3000W 70H mid drive ?

My motor run fine up to 60% and after that it make strange sounds like it cant handle the RPM.
I think maybe there is settings in the software that is not correct.

Default settings was 16 pole in the software when I connected it, but on the manual it says the motor is 5 pole pairs.
Angle is set to -120 , not sure if that is correct ?

I would appreciate if someone had a screenshot of a working setup for the mid drive motor.

Thank you

hi , looking to order a qs 138 90h and votol 200 .
so is the votol 200 already fully working with no bugs?
is QS still sending orders on time?
