On my way into work I heard a high pitched friction whine coming from somewhere on the bike, when I got to work I discovered my BBS01 speed sensor had rotated in its zip tie to face against the tire and it has rubbed through the rubber insulation. I was thinking when I get home of wrapping duct tape around the hole but would Wire Loom Harness Adhesive Cloth Fabric Tape be better?

That tape is more for holding entire bundles in place, and not very waterproof. I would use a little dab of liquid electrical tape.. It's a black goo you brush on then it solidifies. Any regular tape is ok for electric insulation, but hard to get a truly waterproof wrap on it.
