I am looking for a spot welder capable of welding 0.3mm nickel strips, I have a JPspotwelder but it is not powerful enough.
Is there a model that would be able to do it?
If you havent bought the VTC cells yet, seriously consider Nissan Leaf cells as an option. If you already have the VTC cells, buy the kWeld, and practice on junk cells first.
Or look at the nickel over copper technique. 0.1 of both is easy as pie and gives you .5mm equivalent in nickel alone. I tthinkthe topic is covered in the spot welding copper thread.
reconfigure the pack to have all the cells as parralell as possible, then you can divide the power over many strips and then you can make a pack with .2 just fine.
