Thoughts on a controller controller for the Em3ev 3kw motor

After constant debates by myself whether to get the 3kw motor from Em3ev or the QS205 motor, I think I'm sticking with 3kw.

As a new builder, I'm looking for some suggestions on the controller to get for it. Here's what I've narrowed it down to...

Em3ev has the 72V 80A Sabvoton Sinewave Controller as an option for $350. I can't seem to find much more info on the controller, or at least I'm looking in the wrong places.

Others that have caught my attention are -

PowerVelocity 18fet controller - http://powervelocity.com/home/48-18...r-android-ios-bluetooth-programmable-8kw.html
The 'lower' option Em3ev offers - https://em3ev.com/shop/18-fet-irfb4110-infineon-controller/
Phaserunner MT Bk - https://www.ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-parts/controllers/phaserunner-bk.html

If you have any other suggestions on controllers or even other 3kw hub motors, I'm all ears. I hear Em3ev has a great rep but I do realize it's mostly based off their batteries, and the fact that the motor is unbranded has its pros and cons.

Also, important detail: I'm not looking to build this as a motocross bike but more of a well-balanced commuter bike (decent torque, top speed and eventually good range with a custom battery). Planning to build this on an old moped frame with 17" moped rims.

Then reconsider the QS205 / 50H or, even better maybe, the QS 3kW mid motor (so you can keep the original rear wheel and alter gearing to suit your needs:

The thread here on E-S about it: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=93627 (see page 12 for video and offered on Amazon)

Alternative controller that seems to have a lot of fans here on E-S is the new developped "Nucular" series: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75494

Am I foolish to think a hub motor install would be simpler? I'd just have to work on expanding the swingarm... I was considering the Cyclone for a minute but for what I need, at my level of experience, the hub just seemed like the option that made the most sense - won't be going up many hills if at all - sorry, noob here. I'm trying to wrap my head around how it'd be mounted. Would you say it's worth the double in price?

Are you referring to the blue bike video? Looks very fast but can't see the bike/motor at all.

Going back to your first statement though, why do you say I should reconsider the QS205? I would think the 3kw motor should be more than enough for a commuter bike, no? I’ve test rode mopeds with smaller setups that still had enough zip.
