three speed key instead of switch

Hello EV friends,
As the title already says, i'm looking for a solution to switch the three speeds by key instead of a switch. But i don't know what kind of locks can do that or what they are named ? If someone could even post a amazon link of a lock to use would be great.

yes, if you this one does what i want. But do these kind of keys have a name ? Or how can i find them ?

I searched "on off on three position key switch" just as a guess and a few like that came up. I think it would replicate the normal three speed thing of common ground with 2 outs.
I had seen them called that for boat use...

Also can be called SP3T or 1P3T, meaning one pole (one common wire) three throw (position). Some are momentary, so springloaded and only stay in the center position without you holding it, some are normal that stay in whichever position you turn them to.

For your purpose, you would wire ground to the common, and one of the two 3-speed wires to each of the outside positions, leaving the center position not wired.

you just have to make sure it is not a momentary switch.


Some are outdoor rated (IP6x) for weatherproofing, some are not, if you need that.
