This is some info about 4mm HXT connectors.
It drew me crazy not finding the right info on these. The pins would on some places/videos be insterted from the rear, others from the front.

Turns out both are right in a way, depends on who's HXT connectors you have, seems that there is no standard with them.

So here it is:

Original Turnigy 5Ah 4S1P 14.8v hardcase pack come with 4mm HXT connectors (June 2013).
In case you need to remove them from their casing, the pins/contacts go in and out from the REAR.
In order to remove the female part, I used an old 3.5mm drillbit.
The male parts can be removed by a lose female part put over the male part.
To reinsert, support the protector as pictured, with a PCB piece going inbetween the two sleeves.
Use a scredriver or round chisel from behind.

However, with the 4mm HXT connectors from Hobby King (10pcs Gold Connector w/Protector,AM1009x10)
the pins go in & out through the FRONT.
So you must put the protector sleeve onto the cable BEFORE you solder it.
To insert, simply pull the pins through their cable firmly in place, they snap in easily.
In order to remove the pins again, support the protector as pictured, with a PCB piece going inbetween the two sleeves. Use a scredriver or round chisel from behind.
