Hello,
I am building my 1st ebike, and made a mistake in ordering the battery. Since I had purchased the kit so long ago, I forgot the controller was 36v and thought it was 48v.
Is it plausible to convert a 36v 350watt controller to 50v 500watt, while upgrading components? I have experience working on Audio circuits but am learning about ebike circuits, and would feel comfortable switching out capacitors and transistors, but having to add mosfets I don't think would be very clean.
This is for a brushless motor with Hall wiring.
If not, is there a decent quality controller I could purchase that would be an upgrade to the system and not harm the motor?

This is for a cargo bike, where Im not looking for speed, but help on hills as I carry allot of weight on the bike.
Thanks for any help
