I'm glad the council members we've voted in here in Austin have been proven to stand against helmet laws. This is really one of those completely unnecessary laws. I actually wear a helmet all the time, and make my gf wear one when we ride. But in 70,000 bicycle miles, I've never once needed a helmet outside of racing or off road riding. (never crashed).
