Warning, nanny state alert !

I'm glad the council members we've voted in here in Austin have been proven to stand against helmet laws. This is really one of those completely unnecessary laws. I actually wear a helmet all the time, and make my gf wear one when we ride. But in 70,000 bicycle miles, I've never once needed a helmet outside of racing or off road riding. (never crashed).

Wait... he broke the law, and he wants an apology?

Hell, why don't we just murderers and pedophiles cable TV, a free place to stay with state of the art sporting and entertainment equipment, and... oh. Wait, we already do that.
