X1, X2 - HELP I'm so confused!

All right all you INFINION Guru's.

How do I wire my 3 speed switch. I wired x1 x2 and ground.
All I can get is shorting x1 and ground to change speed. It goes in steps using x1 never x2. What am I doing wrong.
Keywin sent me a pinout for the EB3 boards and I think i have it wired as listed. should I be using X1 X2 and something other than Ground?

Cruise, Ebrake works, on/off but 3 speed is or could be just a button?

What am doing wrong?

From my experience, 3 speed switches can work one of two ways (dependant on controller obviously):


1. - 3 wires from controller (two signal, one ground)
NC = Mid speed
X1-GND = Low speed
X2-GND = High speed

2. - 2 wires from the controller (one signal, one ground)
Connecting the two together changes the speed setting (touch for at least a second or does not activate)
It will toggle through the 3 speed modes

(edit) after reading your post more carefully I realize it is using the second configuration, there should be a jumper on the board somewhere to change the mode to the first configuration, not sure what the pad would be though, hopefully someone else can chime in here about that.

Thanks Stew, I have looked thru lots of posts about Infinion controllers but no answer yet.

There are just too many to look thru.
If I don't find out soon, I will send Keywin an email. If anyone knows he should.
