    GMAC 8T Motor - Vancouver, BC - CAD$500

I PMed him last month. Mid conversation about the sale, the seller hasn't come back. This was perfect, as it was the highspeed motor laced in the same rim I was planning on using. I waited a couple weeks for a response, then gave up and went to china looking for a motor. ... The mxus XF-19 is...

Looking for front or rear geared hub motor with or without 20" rim

Just as the title says. A motor rated for 500 or more watts (so, not those tiny 250w ones). Geared is preferred but I'll consider direct drive. 20" rim, with or without. Doesn't matter. What do you guys have for me?

How slow can you wind a motor?

To compensate for less amp carrying capacity due to thin wire, voltage can be increased to bring the motor's power back up, no? 100W is same whether it's 1A 100V or the other way. Same with Amp Turns. 10AT, whether it's 1 (thick) turn @ 10 amps or 10 (thin) turns @ 1 amp. .. the overall...

How slow can you wind a motor?

We all know winding style determines whether motor will have more torque or speed (and I have read some of the "Science, Physics, Math, & Myth" thread. What a long discussion that is  ). The well know Turnigy C80100 as an example. Pretty fast spinning motor, with Kv of 130. It's noisey...

    Wheelchair with Handcycle

Do you think that is a sensorless controller? In which case you can use the throttle now and motor should spin. Else, that white connector looks like the one but the wiring diagram shows something else. Use a multimeter and see if there is a 4.3 to 5V signal between ground and red on any...

Whats wrong with my hub wheel??

    My fix: Add more washers.

    What is wrong here?

Don't ESCs have to have their throttle curve (or max throttle position) mapped first? I'd say try turning the system on with throttle preset to 100%, then after the esc initializes (beeps a few times) ramp it down to 0... and you should hear some more beeps telling you it's set. Just a guess...

    Lyen 18 FET Controller Blown

Phase shorts cannot be detected easily because normally each phase is connected to one another on the inside of the motor. But if you're positive there's a phase short (phase wires are cut into and are touching each other), DON'T apply throttle else it's instant controller death. Stuttering...

Hitec X2 balance charger repair: 9/14- identifying component

Thanks for the links amberwolf. I'll check them out in detail soon. For now I checked the underside of the board and found a blown trace and down the line some type of shorted voltage regulator (my guess). I will disassemble the unit further to find the part numbers. As for the "64" components -...

Hitec X2 balance charger repair: 9/14- identifying component

It's a dual 200W charger and I plugged in a battery backwards to port 1. It stopped working (You'd think they'd have reverse protection?!). Port 2 of the dual charger works as normal. I cracked it open. Determined to fix it. Seeing as I am able to compare the two halves, maybe it's not too...

    Anti-wheelie device

So many of us have wheelie machines, right? Even with a throttle tamer and extended swing arm, my bike still tends to wheelie at take off! So I'm proposing some type of device that detects when the front wheel lifts off the ground and either cuts or suppresses the throttle signal...

    (solved) EB218 18FET regen stutter/not working correctly

I rebuilt my wheel and in the process also redid my cromotor wiring harness. Replaced a few hall sensors and added a temp sensor. After it was all done I mounted the wheel, started my bike up as normal (with regen wires connected this time) and spun it up to test regen. It works! :D Problem...

    (solved) EB218 18FET regen stutter/not working correctly

Okay. Getting close here! I tested Cromotor with wheel off ground with regen. It stuttered. Then I put my ht3525 in a vice and spun it up a little. Regen kicked it but I didn't hear a stutter. I did measurement of hall red and black to bike frame/motor. Several ohms of resistance shown...

    (solved) EB218 18FET regen stutter/not working correctly

Ok. Still haven't tested regen with another motor or gotten video of issue but will address some of the points made above. Yea, 24S LiPo is at the wall of these FETs, as you say. But I charge my pack to 99.5V and drops down to 95V quickly. R12 mod applied, I have regen set to approximately...

    (solved) EB218 18FET regen stutter/not working correctly

100V. The other controller that I mentioned above was a 150V model of the 24FET eb2xx. Haven't gotten chance to test out two things above but it's either linked with the eb2xx controllers or my motor/wiring.

    (solved) EB218 18FET regen stutter/not working correctly

Dry weather, stock controller, 24S 20Ah HK LiPo I'm not using ebrake switch for these tests. I have it automatically regen when throttle is released. It happens in all riding conditions. Flat, hill, etc.. even when wheel is off the ground. I will try two things that I can think of: 1. Get...

    (solved) EB218 18FET regen stutter/not working correctly

SOLVED When I engage regen it stutters, as if it's only working on two phases or halls are going crazy. I observe my CA speed reading also goes haywire. into the 30's to 50's if I'm only doing 20 and enable regen. Speed reading is fine during all other points of operation. Everything else...

From infineon to kelly - comparison?

http://kellycontroller.com/kbl96351e24-96v350abldc-controllerwith-regen-p-1258.html Rated at 350 motor amps for 30 seconds. 140 continuous. How's this compare to the infineon controllers? Will it give me that initial burst of current needed to outrun ICEs at the stop light (like infineons do)...

how to mod those power supply? meanwell clone

My unit from the outside looks a bit different but board looks the same (or close enough). What mods are you looking to do on it? Getting a wider voltage range would just mean modifying the resistor network around the variable pot. ... I believe I bypassed one of the resistors leading up to the...

Best place to put thermistor in China-controller

I would say that safe FET body temp with some room to spare is 90C. I remember pushing my 18FET through 1 foot ice covered snow straight through a local park in the winter. My bike was plowin' through it on one (rear) wheel with me hanging on... and temps got up pretty high. 90C.. it was...

Best place to put thermistor in China-controller

90C was gotten when I looked down maybe 5 seconds after coming to a stop. I am sure it was higher at the time it blew.
