I recently picked up a used Prodeco Phantom X (36 volt, 500 watt, brushless, direct drive, rear wheel, throttle only). I have been commuting on it, but the the controller went bad after hitting a bump at speed.
Since I'll be replacing the controller, this seems like a good time to add pedal assist. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a source for a controller, sensor, and handlebar-mounted readout? I am on a low budget, so please keep it toward that end of the spectrum.
350-500 watts preferred. I would love to add an LCD dash but will probably stick to an LED to keep it in budget. I would also prefer to buy from an e-bike vendor here in North America.
