Ask for the model number. Tell him Samsung makes a lot of different grades of 21700 . Like Kung Pao chicken and sesame shrimp they're both Chinese dishes but they're two different Chinese dishes. And Samsung makes a lot of different 21700 cells so what the model number. As with Chinese food there's more than one dish and Samsung has more than one 21700 cell. Break it down for him. Tell him you want to talk to the technical department since he does not understand. And you're not able to answer the question. Please let's not waste time. Or a sale ?
Don't let them push you around.
You obviously don't know what you're selling.
Please give me someone with knowledge as you're wasting both of our times.
Get right down to the brass nuts.
If you waste my time I'll go somewhere else.
Toughen up buttercup.
They are the samsung 50e

I reread the thread. So is the seller going to fix the ad and compensate you for sending you a 25Ah battery, after advertising it as 30Ah? I just viewed the link and he’s still calling it 30Ah.
I'm gonna tell them about that thanks for the info brother

I did get the new battery and there is samsung 21700 Inside first thing I did when fedex dropped it off was open it up and confirm......so

Ok I got the battery with the 21700 cells it is a 25ah battery anyways so would I better off getting a controller with max amp 35 40 or 45 continous is all below 40 amps

50E is a 9.8A cell, so 5P, would make that 49A. However, the higher capacity Samsung cells tend to sag more than the high discharge cells, plus the 9.8A spec is for new cells, so you should plan for them degrading over time and take that into account. 35A would be conservative and likely better if you're a WOT type of rider, but a 40A controller is probably OK if you don't abuse it.

Keep in mind that when you use a gang of vape cells to do a larger cell's job, your pack is usually limited more by the cell connections than by the cells themselves. If any welded nickel or steel strip is being asked to carry more than 5A, it can become a source of problems.

Good point, hard to determine a discount factor to apply for seller confidence or pack construction. It does bother me that their ad still states 30Ah on the 52V pack. The ad only shows cells in the cell holders, but no connections.

One thing I did notice when I opened it up was it didn't have no insulating barley paper cover then top of the cells and strips

One thing i did notice it didn't have insulating barley paper on top of the cells and strips to protect it.... is there a way to check to see if i haVe nickel or steel strips

Yes if I build a pack a put an extra insulator. But the manufacturer has a paper or ? Under the shrink wrap. We like to use an extra for insurance.
Glad you followed up and open up your pack and found out that they were 18650. Instead of what they were supposed to send you. A 35amp controller should work.
I think the leaf 1,500 kit has a 35amp controller. My controllers hit 40amp then settle down. But depends on the manufacturer and if you have a 60 amp controller and take your C.A. and turn it down to 35 amps. Like a Lyen 60 amp turned down to 35amp will pull close to 35amps a yesconm 1,500 kit with 35a controller Wil hit 35amp and ramp down. After first full throttle.
So controllers are like 21700 cells there are all different profiles.
I'm really glad you have the. To take apart a brand new battery and find out what's inside. Good job my boy.
I had a $1,200 custom made 72v 24ah Samsung 40t 20s6p and only gave me 19ah , he repaired it and after sending it back. I broke my collarbone and couldn't test the pack and it was too long after that two years later I opened it up and the six cells he replaced he soldered them in with solder wick a no no.
The name is bicycle motor works the guy who made the pack was Matt Buzra.
He has a nice girlfriend or wife but he's a jerk of the East Coast variety.
