obviously made for 7p 18650 holders. a 14s7p or 14p7s is what this is made for. 48V or 24V. nothing in between though

I do not recommend using a holder. If you want to put in a case.It will fit so much that you can not fit it.When you put the insulator

If you use the right orientation, it fits just fine. The "noses" have to look all into the same direction. Otherwise - I agree - it just wont fit. I can post a pic if you want.

NEVER built a battery without holder! The nickel strips are not meant to last that stress. This is very dangerous. I built a lot of batteries, also some that were glued together instead of using the plastic holders, did never work as good as with holders...they make life so easy and are dirt-cheap!

looks identical to two i have, one is very old came with my original golden motor 1kw kit. cells were not 18650s (they were fatter) and was a 13s limn pack. It needs retiring now. So i don't think the box was designed with 18650s in mind. The other pack i have has pouch cells inside, i bought that one used off a chap on here. tbh both batteries are now beyond useful. I should recell them but the case is not light either. It is robust though, however I never liked the ends. I thought they were poor in terms of water proofing. Now that I have a 3d printer I perhaps could do a far better job of renewing it all.
