Yesterday, it works fine. Today, it's all interference. I put a clip-on filter right next to the panel meter. Doesn't work. Then I move it to the shunt side. Like magic, all interference is gone! On my regular voltmeter for my battery pack, the filter is right next to the meter is where it works. These things are picky.
