72v Build help…

I am second guessing my Juan Tach m1 brakes I purchased and wanted some opinions. They are line pulling hydraulic dual piston. I am thinking now I should go full hydraulic. Any suggestions on finding a pair with the cut off? I don’t have the round connectors but the others with the male end. Number 4 in the photo. Unless you think the Juan tech are good enough? There are a few options of hydraulic brakes with built in ebike cutoff switches, including Tektro, Magura, and a few knockoffs, so your choices are limited. Adding sensors to non-ebike brake levers is an option, which opens up more choices; but built in certainly is a cleaner installation. As you've observed, virtually all of the built in style have HiGo (round) connectors.

Since it' looks like you are now at least knee deep in the DIY world, and if you haven't already, you should get a cheap soldering iron or crimping tool (or both), and get acquainted with swapping connectors. This opens up many more options for you now and in the future as you select components to upgrade. I see a lot of newbies handcuffed into the mode of searching for components based on what connectors they have, vs. the best component for the job. That's just a word of advice if you are planning on sticking with the hobby, take it or leave it.

I went for the add on magnetic sensors, as 99t4 mentioned, since I found a pair of cheap 4 piston Tektro knockoffs to try, and didn't want to shell out the money for the Tektro or Magura options. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5TG287V?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
The hose length turned out to be near perfect too.

Thank you for the good advice. I will look into a soldering iron etc. but in the mean time until I figure out how to use it proficiently where can I find magnetic cut offs with my connection? The brakes you found look good.

Will these alibaba ones work? Or something similar?

Look for replacement parts for them that won't take a month to get. Budgets are good, down time is bad!

Hi everyone, first I want to Thank everyone again for your help, info and feedback.
I have since upgraded to a 4 piston Shimano mt420 downhill hydraulic brakes for the front and Juni tech m1 line pulling hydraulic in the rear, I may upgrade the back further at some point before spring.
I also upgraded to ukc1 color display and added a nice light bar I found that’s great at night. I was unzipping the controller bag but it’s so cold now I don’t see the point anymore. I’ve also added a battery bag with neoprene insulation.
Any other suggestions or input I always value. 8AD42981-5F2F-45E7-BDC4-18E3BA3C7606.jpeg45D2C7C0-BECE-4909-A20C-EFD5F6A0562D.jpeg
