An alternative to Gopro ?

Hi, I know some have seen this cam before (an ES member has posted a vid took on one earlier this year)

but for those that have not....take a look

I was looking at Contour cams earlier this week. New version has GPS data tacked onto the video but about $300. Older version sans GPS new on Fleabay seem to be around $200. I have no idea how it compares to GoPro or any "sport" video camera though...
