Aprilia Enjoy?

200 watts for over $2500 AUD? Even if the price were right, the extra weight of the electrical components makes it hardly worthwhile. Stock, my $300 Currie is over 800 watts (24v 35a). With all the modding required, why not choose a kit or cheaper base ebike?

You're right. I'm surprised that Aprilia brings in such a low-powered unit, except the motorcycle enthusiasts like their kids to experience motorcycles at low speeds first.

Aprilia has been in the Road Racing market for a long time. They've won countless Road Racing titles mostly in the smaller bike classes. This bike appears to be very well built... sort of the "dream bike" in many ways. However, Aprilia is based in Europe where their laws limit their bikes to 250 watts. So this is a case of America vs. European Electric Bike Laws.

 Imagine if you used the same kind of technical expertise and did one in America where 750 watts is legal? Even better, what if you also offered a "Missouri Legal" version that pumped out three horsepower?

the enertia motorbike looks pretty cool on that link though 8)

Cheers
