battery not charging think bms blown

put my scooter back together and it would not charge took apart wire came of charging port solderd on still not charge could my bms be gone power before bms and tested charger to works on my other scooter if the 2 wires from back of charging port have touched will it have blown bms would love to learn how test bms also if get same 10s 20amp bms could i just plug the new one strait into thed old clip with the wires going to the batt

Reading has gotten more challenging since the internet got rid of all punctuations LOL. If the wire was off the charging port, did the battery ever work/charge? If the battery was run down, the BMS could be good and protecting against charging in an unsafe condition. You could measure the voltage level of each cell group at the BMS harness to see what condition things are in.

could the positive and neg from charging point touching together cause bms to fail
