Hey folks,

I created a new tuning device for current Bosch Smart System eBikes with internal speedsensor and rim magnet that enables motor support up to 50km/h. I dont know the regualtions in uk but it doubles the speed limit in miles too;)

Whereas there are many tuning devices available for the classic cable based speedsensor there is nothing available on the market for the invisible sensor hidden inside the motor.

- plug 'n play (residue-free removable)

- with original Bosch connectors

- very reliable in terms of Bosch manipulation detection (not one single case of spoofing detection has been reported to me with the identical cable based version since march 2022)

- switchable - tuning can be activated/deactivated by switching light off/on

- universal ->not depending on a particular display or firmware

- invisible for the bosch dealer‘s software (no need to uninstall the kit when updating firmware)

- no problems concerning activity tracking by the flow app.

The kit includes the small piece of hardware with an attached additional speedsensor and sensorholder, a spoke magnet, an electrical magnet and some installation material.

The kit was designed to be installed hidden under the motor cover in the rear of motor but the created magnetic field is strong enough to place the e-magnet even outside the bike frame too for quick & dirty testing.

To use the tuning device with all its functions the green LPP (low power port) and the light function has to be activated by your local bike dealer.

Install method:

1. Remove RimMagnet
2. Install Spoke magnet
3. install Speedsensor so that spoke magnet can trigger speedsensor.
4. put in green/(or yellow) connector (power for the device) and red connector (to switch device on/off) into motor.
5. switch on bosch system and turn off light (1. Status LED of tuning device is shining green) and make sure your rear wheel can rotate freely. Rotate rear wheel -> the 2nd LED will blink red every second time the magnet passes the speedsensor. -> If not reduce the distance of magnet and sensor
6. hold the electronic magnet in your hand and place it in this area(red circle in attached picture) while you observe the display and check that the display shows a speed value.
7. When you find the spot, use the included double-faced adhesive 3M pad/tape to stick the emagnet to this spot. Hot glue is helpful too.
Thats it.

The price is 160€. I am shipping with dhl international from germany. Paypal Payment is welcome. Shipping costs are included.
Please send me a personal message for further information.

That's a neat solution, and a clever alternative to the obvious solution-- not buying an overreaching, expensive, proprietary, intentionally opaque e-bike.

Also terrible for 2nd hand sales, I tell my customers to beware when buying a 25kph Bosch bike. If the owner had one of these devices installed, the total distance numbers on the display (ODOmeter) will be half than the actual wear of the motor.

Absolutly correct. Only a handfull of guys come to this logical conclusion by themselves. I like diy bikes too but those bosch bikes are just designed so sweet
