I would recommend reading as many of the various build threads for batteries here on this forum as you can first, as from the question you're asking, I expect you need to know all of the things that can be learned in them, and it will be much easier than us repeating what has already been stated elsewhere in a more practical manner. 
Once you know enough to decide specific things about your battery, and to be able to ask specific questions that apply to your particular build, then you can come back to this thread and post those, and then they can be answered by those with the knowledge required.
