Changing controller on a bafang mid drive.

I have a 48v 250w bbs01b bafang mid drive. I'm wondering if it's possible to put a 48v 750w bbs02b controller on my mid drive. Would it work?

A 48V 250W BBS01B? Are you certain? Is it marked as such on the controller/motor case?

I bought it from Amazon and it says it's a BBS01B. The seller might have got the model wrong. I'm not sure.

Wow Thanks for that. I stopped working support over a year ago after nearly 7 years of emails and phone calls. I'm obviously behind the times!

So from what you've provided it looks as if the motors are now the same, just the controllers are different?

So if I read the Bafang site correctly the old destination BBSHD is now G320 and it's the only 750W version. Making the controller for 750w incompatible with the 01B 02B now labeled G340.

So the 750w isn't compatible but the 500w one is. So it could work. Is the motor of the 250w model similar to the 500w one? Could it work with a stronger controller without any issues?

Reading the specifications it seems compatible
