Strange how you cut out the precise statement of what it is I am saying I am sure about.

The context of the discussion that you directly replied to and quoted was "keeping a battery floating at the set voltage does not damage it in any way". Of course your reply will be taken in the context of that specific subject. If you aren't discussing that specific subject, then why reply with those specific quotes ?

Again, not a fact. "Absolutely nothing to be gained", is your opinion.

Things to be gained by not cutting off charge at 100%SOC:
1) Chargers are sometimes/often cheaper without the additional smarts to cut-off -> gained cheaper chargers
2) There are a lot of chargers available that don't have the cutoff feature -> gained more charger options

You keep using the word "fact", but I don't think it means what you think it means...

And you still haven't shown any evidence that maintaining charge after 100%SOC is bad (or any worse than just having that same battery sitting disconnected at 100%SOC).
