My neighbour wants to convert his trike to electric, problem is that we live in europe and the law states that 250w is the max you can have. I know this is very underpowered, but he wants to remain completely legal. Ive tried to convince him otherwise, but to no avail. His trike weighs 32 kg and will be hauling max 30 kg cargo + his 90 kg body. There are nearly no hills here in copenhagen so we dont have to worry about that. His trike has an 7 speed shimano IGH which he wants to keep so hub motors are also not an option. He also wants to keep the price under $900 usd for the battery and motor. It has a standard 68mm bb. Europe would be preferred due to high import fees here in Denmark, but if the price is right (and its from a reliable source), then he would be ok with ordering from china.
