Double Amp Hours ?

If I have two 6s lipos that I hook up in series that are 5000aH, do I double the amp hours? Or is this ONLY when you hook them up in parallel ? Please advise

series increase voltage, parallel increase capacity.

Only when in parallel. The total watt hours is increased for either setup vs a single pack. I prefer in series, however.
