E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

the night time is the right time...

P7 update..

The last official update was from 18th July explaining the delays and saying they hope to ship in maybe 4-5 weeks (ie about now).
They also said "Powder coating starts this week, so not long now and we can start showing off the colours." but there has been no new updates since then, and no colour pics :(
Anyway I was hanging out for some news (still happy to wait, just want to know what's going on) so I emailed and got this reply:

"The bikes will be ready to ship at the end of the month. We are waiting on one more shipment to arrive then the bikes will be completed. We appreciate your patience thus far."

Stealth are a great brand and make great bikes, I can't wait to get mine, and I am more than happy to wait as long as it takes to get a quality product..
..but their communication during this process has been pretty dismal, not sure why they can't put out weekly / fortnightly / or even monthly updates to backers/purchasers, even if there is nothing much to say... :?

Anyway hopefully will be riding soon :D :D

Thanks for making the inquiry, I am chomping at the bit waiting to get my P7 in.

Also FYI I asked them about tyres after the last update in July - the standard tyres will be Schwalbe Super Moto X, which are a semi-slick tyre.. great for urban riding, not so good for offroad. I would have had to immediately swap them out..
https://www.schwalbe.com/en/tour-reader/super-moto-x.html

They offered me what they call their 'dual purpose' tyre, they didn't give much info but they sent a pic and the brand 'Vee Rubber'. I did a bit of searching and just matching the look of them they look pretty much exactly like these:
http://www.veerubber.co.th/2016/?p=1543
They also have a US site:
http://www.veerubberusa.com/2016/bicycle-tires/
and an Australian site:
https://www.veetireco.com.au/

No idea if they're any good... Vee Rubber seems to be a big tyre manufacturer in Thailand but very few reviews of that brand that I could find - but they will be better than the moto-x for me.
So they are going to fit my bike with them instead of the moto-x.
Might be worth asking via email if you also don't want the moto-x..

I have ridden a bunch of Veerubber tires, MC and MTB, but not the Katana, never had a bad one. Some tires are good, and some are great. As far as the tread pattern goes on the Katana, it looks to be a good all arounder with an emphasis more on dirt than road.

Yeah neat terrain ABV!

I just started a battery build for Stritzky.

Will be a 20s14p config with Sanyo GA, 10 Amp cells.
72V47Ah
weight 14kg

Good for 140A peak and about 90A nominal.
Here is first half of the pack.

Wow Allex that jig looks nice :)
thumbs up!

oh man the exploring I could do with one of your packs!

I'm still planning on building that 14S14P pack for my Fighter I've been promising for years now.
In fact I'm getting pretty close to ordering the cells soon.

That will give me about 2.5Kwh and over 125km range at good speeds while still keeping things light enough (just) to lift of fences, gates, etc.

Cheers

I have the same battery.
For the long life of this battery I recommend (for 14p) 100A in peak and 70A nominal.
It is recommended that the nominal load can be 50% of the catalog note.

yes I'm really looking forward to that battery Allex is building for me. That combined with a new Adaptto Max E controller and ferro fluid coling and hub sinks should equal a lot of long trips in the future.

I joined the club of the Shinko SR241 rear tyres :D ... and I want to thank Rix for this tyre advice, it's the best rear MC tyre I tried so far, it has great traction on all the surfaces from sand to rocky trails, it has lower sound on the road and it has a low rolling friction. Also the front tyre (Halo Contra 24X3) turns better off road with with a lesser tendency to oversteer and I don't know how it is possible!
This is my 2.75-19 SR241 mounted on QS205 and I measured a diameter of 633mm and a width of 78,8mm:

This is a pic of the very first trip near home ....

These are some pics from my last ride in the Hills near Livorno where I enjoy my Bomber in the most absolute way ...

And these are the stats I got from that trip ... and I was pretty tired when I got home

Ciao Simone, I am glad you like the Shinko SR241, I have yet to refer someone to try that tire and be unhappy. I have tried probably 30 tires now and keeping going back to the SR 241. Nice pics BTW. Looks like you got the Bomber in its element.

This morning I had a free hour and therefore what better way to use it?
I went for trip of 20Km near home and this is a nice place were I passed trough a dry creek. This summer is one of the best of the last years without rain from months.

Well if we're all gonna throw up pictures of our Stealth's in awesome locations so will I. :)

This was a few weekends back in the local mountains near Canberra with ES member Briangv99.

It was really hard going riding in such deep snow. It takes a huge amount of concentration and power. I was getting about 65Wh/km on the way up.

I'm still working on a video of the ride also.

Cheers

Damn Stritzky, looks like I went a bit crazy with your cells, you think it will still fit?

Well Allex I'm an optimist, so I still hope it will fit when you put the packs on top off etch other. I'm really looking forward to this and all the opportunities a battery with this kind of range will give me.
